E Voucher

E Vouchers are distributed via epay terminals and retailers' own EPOS systems.
After receiving payment from a customer, retail staff print a voucher for the
customer. Printed onto the voucher are secret redemption codes (PINs) to
activate the product, expiry dates and the transaction tracking information including
the product’s instructions, terms and conditions and customer
service contact numbers.

E Topâ€up / Direct Topâ€up

This transaction type allows for onâ€line processing where credit is applied directly
to an account, a wallet, a phone, a prepaid card, a bill and so forth. Transactions
are sent in real time via the connectivity between epay and the product provider
host and are initiated at the point of sale by swiping or scanning an “account cardâ€,
or entering unique account number e.g. a mobile number.

Gift Card / Stored Value Card Activation

For card based products that require redemption codes / PINs, the characters are
typically printed behind scratch panels on the card. These cards provide provide a
similar function to E Vouchers, with the added potential of becoming an E Topâ€up
card after first use. The cards are activated in realâ€time at the POS and hold no value
until activated and hence there is no risk of theft or shrinkage. Transactions are
sent in real time via the connectivity between the epay and product provider.
